Default Modifying a Swedish inlet to fit....

a 206 gti?

Any obvious reasons why this couldn't work?

Doable, but personally I would use something nearer in terms of size to begin with, like a pulsar one, the YB is a very long engine compared to a 206GTI engine.

all you need to do for a pulsar one is buy a pulsar plenum, but a throttle body manifold including the injector boss, buy some spacers, make a mounting plate (or buy one from Neil Adams on Vaxusport) make a spacer plate (or buy one from Neil) and thats it done.

Same way I did my nova inlet using an RS200 plenum.

If you wise then you can use TBs instead of spacers, and end up with a multi throttle setup.

Mine cost me about 800 all in, its a few hundred more if you decide to go multi throttle.

Yeah that sounds good. We have been looking at different ideas on how to go about it. Im more worried about getting the fuel rail to sit properly.

jenvy.....

just use the charge tank...
buy a injector plenum from jenvy, and then get someone to ally weld it together

No point in using the cossie one. If you want to do it reasonably cheaply cut up a stock inlet manifold and use that as a base. Best thing to do is cut it just after the injector bosses. You can then build your trumpets, plenum etc onto that.

Jenvey TB manifold

Aftermarket Trumpets inside plenum

To put it together we just knocked up an adaptor plate with a file and a drill and a saw on the bench at home, and made some gaskets the same way.

Parts cost was IIRC
Manifold + fuel rail : 300
Spacers : 200
RS200 Plenum : 125
Trumpers : 60
Vectra TB : 20
Gasket Paper : 5

So a total of around 700 quid, and Ive still got all the saleable parts if I ever want rid of it so should get most of my money back, or if I put the engine in something with less height room like a VX220, I can swap to a pulsar plenum instead very cheaply

Where did the adaptor plate go? Between the head and Jenvey manifold?
