It is a real shame that some of the stupid chavs have ruined it for all of the true enthusiasts.
I used to go up there in my 4x4 cos and my Mk2 escort cosworth about 10 years ago and the people up there were genuine friendly people who loved to show off there motors, I had heard that some people have started using the multi storey car park in the middle of newcastle on sundays but as I am on a ban at the moment I havn't been up to check it out.

what you banned for??
Make sure when you get your license back that theyve done the appropriate flag removal on the ANPR systems as some forces put a flag up against the reg no. so the car pops up on ANPR even if the car is still insured by your missus.
I had that problem for a few months as i kept getting pulled up with a flag put on the system for the reg saying the car is possibly driven by a disqual driver (despite the fact my license was revoked not disqualed!!) despite the fact that the driver record comes up fine.
Its one of the techniques some forces use to catch out disqual drivers who otherwise would not be caught out driving past a ANPR car.
Good idea but sometimes they forget to remove the details off the computer when you get license back.

I know it wasnt serious LOL.
hopefully in a few weeks although i keep finding more problems
The only real thing holding me up is awaiting my V5 from DVLA with the correct engine number. Then i might stand a chance of passing the MoT emissions as i will have the correct paperwork to get engine age related engine emissions.
Then just MoT and tax!!!

I got a 3 year ban because my useless solicitor didn't call the relevent witnesses to court and didn't cross examine the officer on the stand. Drink driving when I wasn't even in the car.

Basicaly it was a case of I had to use legal aide and as I was grouped in with all of the scum bags who use legal aide the solicitors couldn't be arsed to do any leg work to help me get off.
I took it really badly and had a break down so by the time I had sorted myself out I was out of time for an appeal.
How are things with the puma any way mate?

just out of interest what so called evidence did they have?? some nosey nieghbour saying you were DD and cops finding car warm after missus drove you home legally etc???
Just trying to work out how it even got past the CPS if youd not been in car and had a witness statement to back you up
Pumas still broken (see my resto/bodge fix thread) but i have all the bits to fix now, just a case of pulling my finger out and getting it back together and rolling before i find more!!
I keep getting to the stage of having an afternoons work left, then i do some more checks and investigations of things, because i might as well while its off ground, and find more to fix putting me back again

Nope, the place where people went in Birmingham has had the same injunction that Festival Park has had put on it and the car park in newcastle your probably thinking of is the one above the posh car place. God I haven't been up Stoke in ages!!!
