Default BBS CH Wheels

Thinking about a new set of wheels for my run around.

Really like the look of these wheels. I have noticed there are copies which are loads cheaper. How much difference is there between the real ones and the copies? Are they exact copies?

I understand they will be made of worse material, and will probably buckle the first time I hit a bump

Me and Pete have done a swap.

So he gets my Corsa with stack, brakes, wheels, gearbox. Then he has pulled the engine out of his Nova and it is going into the Corsa. I took his Nova in part exchange with an XE in and cash my way.

At the moment they are both sat next to each other in the garage, neither have an engine in. Should be rocking soon. I've got a LET engine, T34 and cossie management but I'd rather have a car I can rag to death, then park up and know it's not going to break down every other day

So probably going to sell that lot.

From what I’ve seen the copies are utter shit made of cheap alloy easily buckled. BBS authentic wheels are very expensive though, but when you get them balanced see how little weights they need.

Any links to any good copies for sale?

Bit sceptical about the eBay ones, but only because they are off eBay!

Mine have been on a few months and are MINT. Only downside is the paint is shite.

Look at it from the money point of view though, genuines are like £1400, reps are £370. I dont mind having a few more wheel weights on my wheels for that money! For just road wheels there really is no competition IMO.

They are all the same i think Tim, you can now get staggered sets off Ebay, 8 inch on the front and 9 inch on the rear.

Mine are 18's on a 215/35 on FK adjustable coilies with the adjustable dampening, fairly low and no scrubbage. Only thing that scrubs is the chassis, subframe etc...

I just want a set of 18's. Don't mind painting them if they go a bit shitty!

Can you get 225's on them? Mine runs 225/45/17 as standard....
