I thought they would look good with the rim polished and the spokes as is any pictures of them on a saff ? im so stuck with what wheels that im seriously considering just putting some late spec ones on

ok i woz wronge about 350@fly (worked it out in my head)
correct answer is around @ 32% losses= 348@fly=235@whe
@ 29% losses= 330@fly= 234@whe

or may be i wronge, and he runnin more bhp at his spare wheel

why would a car lose more power thru the transmisson just cos it was more powerful?

At the end of the day no 2 cars are the same and NO 2 ROLLING ROADS are the same so this debate could go on for ever, the point we are trying to get accross is AVA only loose about 25bhp on FWD/RWD and 50 bhp on 4WD, other rolling roads loose far more which is probably down to the way they are set up and what software they use to run them and also doesnt the size of the rollers come into it

Mine made 333bhp@flywheel and 240-bhp@wheels on 1.15bar,so similar losses.That was at Well Lane so deduct what you think necessary toget an accurate reading .

I had a blast with a gti-r a couple of weeks back, fella claimed it was pushing 270 horses, was quite quick, but he didn't obliterate me as I thought it would, and when i went past and he pulled out behind me, I was pulling away, but slowed down as approaching a notirous 50 speed limit. He was quite impressed and reckoned i had to be running at least 220 horses

thats about rite, = 28% losses,

it does matter on alot, roller,bloke,weather,car,transmission oil temp, tyre friction, wieght on wheels etc etc,
also yhe bigger the rollers(dyno) the cooler it will stay, = stays consistant.

it dont work out % spot on,
but as its a resistance, the more bhp you put thro the trans the more is lost.

as i sed b4, bhp@whe is measured, bhp@fly is calculated(unless on a engine dyno.

in feb 02 pf, jap v's ford rollin rd thrash @ nobles a esc cos has 310@fly=184bhp@whe=41% losses or 126bhp lost thro transmission..

98% of time you will see twice as much lost on a 4wd over 2wd.

dan rs wot power are you runnin.

I'd have been pleased with 310bhp on Nobles rollers on my old engine.They're known as more conservative than others.The 41% loss seems a lot though .

rapid i think your forgetting pulsars are 4wd and your saff and the rst's we are talking about are 2wd.therefor 2 extra wheels to lose power through

Everyone knows power is measured theoretically by heat/loss. Vizard explains it beautifuly. However do RRs measure by heat/loss or by mathematical equation? Therefore are they correct? No. Simple answer really

I used AVA 3 times to what end I do not know as Alan didn't give me a print out, but gave sound advice hence creating the 4x4 intercooler and basically going for a RW set up. It then made a supposed 189 bhp@wheels at RGM with a stage 3 turbo, standard head,standard cam and no 5th injector However you can decide what it made with those modifications after My belief in RRs came to an end afterwards and decided to DIY from then onwards ala no RRs just what it did on the road

but i am gona get it finished and get it to a test ground, so i can prove it.

well rabmcs2.ppl should never underestimate an rs turbo or its driver.my pal had a fairly tuned s2 rs turbo and bet a scooby wrx,me also bein a scooby owner gets jokes like 1.6motors are capable of beating 2.0 turbo'd monsters like mine.200sx would get smoked by u but i think the pulsar would be a different story,they r fast.

No bother wish the guy that owned the pulsar and the guy that owned the 200sx was the other way round coz guy wa the pulsar is a aRSe i can hear him now , hes a ford hater which doesn`t` help

Nope passed the 200sx owner yesterday , he was heading up the opposite side of by-pass this will probably kick off next sunday coz knockhill is on and we all head up from this area so iLL just wait and see what happens GULP
