Shoddy workmanship
We have just had a Rover 200 fitted with a Tomcat turbo engine come into the workshop, the guy was complaining about poor drivability and lack of power. Its on Omex 600, which to be honest isn't a bad little ecu.
Here's how the crank sensor was mounted...
Yes its bolted to the plastic shield
The 36-1 trigger ring was simply bolted through its centre by one single bolt onto the front of the crank pulley, no dowel nothing!
Anyhow here's the best bit.. Fuel map btw he was running just over 1.5 bar boost.
Now if this work was done by the guy himself I could understand it BUT he actually paid a tuning company to carry out the work for him.

I have no idea how to read a map so I won't try and prtend otherwise but I would guess the large repeat in numbers isn't ideal?
The CPS sensor though

I don't want to directly name them (maybe the owner will!), they are very well known in the Ford scene but don't come on here I don't think.

Had my 1st RST done by them, was OK I thought till Karl/NMS saw it
Lets just say it was re-done and "chalk and cheese" comes to mind
Their rollers are good tho, if you want 500bhp from a chipped RST

That looks more like a base map with half a dozen alterations.....randomly slotted in here n there.
Loving the cps mount.

this sort of open end type of speculative thread can be more damaging than naming and shaming in the beginning.

That is terrible. I would be straight back at the company getting my money back! Who knows what other corners they will have cut.
