Default Electric Water pump or not?

Hello together!

I have a "little" problem!
I am running an ST170 Engine in my 95 Escort!
Everything is running nicely, the only thing is.
The engine gets very hot, it never gets to hot but very hot!

I do use the original ST waterpump, with the Escort cooling system and i think thats the problem!
Because of the german TÜV i can not do a big project to fit the ST cooler or something like that!
I have a seperate oil cooler with thermostat, that all works fine.

When the engine becomes warm the fan (Spal 360mm) starts and the themperature just stops to increase.... but the fan has to run the hole time!

So my idea is, to use a Electric waterpump like the Davies Craig one (i did not found any other god stuff!)
I dont want to use the electronic control unit, i want it to be able to cool the engine down, the fan (controled by my Trijekt ECU!) will controll the heat then...

Does any1 have any experiences about EWP?

Does any1 know other suplier for EWP´s?

please help me...

I use a stewart ewp which is excellent IMO much better than davies craig. In my experience increasing flow wont affect temp much, better to fit bigger or more efficient rad or increase airflow through it.

hello

thanks for the commments!
No, the thermostat is alright, the car runs nicely since more than 25tsd km with this system!
I changed the thermostat, the waterpump and this winter i want to fit a new Rad.
The problem is the System itself....

Do you have a link or something for the stewart pump?

How old is the rad you are running? it might be be worth while using a new standard rad if it a few years old and full of crap.

yes it is an old rad, thats why i want to get a new one before i do some other changes..
I was also thinking about to get two 300mm spal fan´s instead of the 360mm one!

The pump is running with the original ST wheel, i think it must be anticlockwise **hmm, think so.. not sure**, but because of the wheel it run´s the right way..! 120%

I found a price for the stewart pump, that thing is quite expensive and it looks like its only aviable in the USA...
For the davies craig one there is a dealer in germany.... but i cant find anybody with any expiriences...
