Is it only classed as" ringing " if the vehicle is stolen ? or one of.If you own two vehicles of the same make and model and you change the id who is to say what.Surely you can not be prosecuted for that.Trying to sell afterwards when you have been on a public forum stating as you have purchased a Q plate shell and then requesting a year related id is going to be a problem though.Well for most because anyway because its dodgey unless they were doing it and kept it hush hush,after all no other Cosworths have been reshelled have they.

Ringing is when you make one vehicle appear to be another.
And its not something the police/dvla are particuarly happy about.
Seems harmless enough I agree, but thats not how they view it so he should be aware he's possibly going to lose the vehicle if caught doing so.
If you are going to do it, dont announce the plans is probably a good idea.

Its not my old 3dr your buying is it ? Some joker is trying to sell it on e-bay for Ł2995, it looks a wreck as all the good bits have been stripped off. Was a good car when i sold it 3yrs ago.
