adjustable rear beam?
i have a 3 door cosworth and i'm looking to get a adjustable rear beam,
whats people's thoughts....
get my 3 door rear beam done or
would you go saph rear beam with a escort cosworth arb?
would there been much modification to do to fit a the second option or would i not see much improvment?

I'd change the rear roll bar, will be doing this myself once funds allow, the standard 3dr rear roll bar is pretty pathetic in my opinion.
To change you will need:
Beam
Trailing arms
Roll bar
Drop links
Bushes
Mounting brackets
Think thats it.

Zoo beams are dodgy quality IMHO, I have one on my saff and had to make new adjusters for it, the only reason I have it on is for the 10.5" diff conversion. I have an adrenaline stage 2 on my Escort, the quality is miles better and the adjusters are nice big chunky Affairs for both toe and camber.
The Ahmed beams only have threaded camber adjustment iirc, the toe adjuster is just a slot in the beam.

Hi
The difference between the Ahmed beam and ADR beams have been listed above.
If you go for a ADR stage 1 beam it is a fair comparison to the Ahmed as only the inner pick up points is modded. This helps the camber change on compression as well as being able to set the camber at different ride hights. IIRC the Ahmed beam is Ł1k and in the group buy the price for the ADR Stage 1 beam is Ł 650 plus delivery
The ADR Stage 2 beam is adjustable for toe as well as camber.

PM me if you want details of the group buy or any further info

The sapphy/escos rear arb can be fitted by welding brackets to the std 3 door arms, I found on my xr4i the holes were already there for the sapphy arb brackets to mount on body.
You can also get adjustable 22mm rear arb, as I have one, best thing I ever did arb wise, ignoring the doubters that is and going ahead with 22mm on a sapphy 2wd.
Fit a poly diff mount, this actually removes masses of roll, tried it for a month on mine without arb then with poly in place of std diff hanger, I would say poly cut out 80-90% of the roll it had with std bush(both with no rear arb fitted), high speed straight line and cornering ability improved beyond belief, nearer to what the car should have been to start with.
