You get a like for like replacement as far as im aware, thats all they offered me when mine had a welding accident

I'm assured my issue of no network coverage will be sorted by early next year as they start to share the T-Mobile masts. Could be bullshit but my contract isn't out until April so will wait and see!

I bet they are bracing themselves for a load of people doing that as soon as the iPhone comes out, bet there will be a peak in claims from people trying it on!
To quote goldie looking chain:
Welders dont kill phones, idiots not being careful with seam sealer do
LOL! @ Welding accident.

Only reason I didn't get the iphone last year is because O2 treated me and my mrs like cunts in the past, so I stuck with vodafone and my disappointing n96.
Orange signal round here isn't the best which would put me off using them for an iphone, lets hope it improves when they merge with t-mobile!

Orange and T-Mobile both have substandard indoor coverage compared to O2 and Vodafone due to them both being stuck on an 1800Mhz carrier frequency which lacks the pentetrative ability of the others with their 900Mhz carrier, so O2 and Voda are always going to win for coverage realistically.
When you look at the stats for coverage they are all outdoor readings, but indoor readings are often more relevent these days for mobiles.

If you get one make sure its insured especially on a 24 month contract because there only good for about 500 charges on average and they need to be charged everyday mine is only about 6 months old as it was a replacement for a faulty one i had and the battery is getting worse apart from that they are really so i would believe the hype there really is an ap for everything there is even one that measures bhp etc the g-force on the accelerometer etc and when tested against a stand alone unit it came out better and it was only about 3bhp out compared to a real rolling road printout carried out before the test i cant remeber what its called i'll find out and let you know

Was in town at the Orange shop today and they have a leaflet with price plans which are different to the current Dolphin/Whale/Fatbloke ones they currently have.
First, the iPhones are completely FREE on pay monthly although all are 24 month plans.
ALL PLANS COME WITH UNLIMITED BROWSING VIA THE NETWORK AND WIFI HOTSPOTS.
You can get the iPhone 3G 8GB on plan 30 [Ł29.36/month 150 minutes, 250 texts] and plan 35 [Ł34.26/month 600 minutes, 500 texts]
You can get the iPhone 3GS 16GB on plan 45 [Ł44.04/month 1200 minutes, 500 texts]
Then you can get the iPhone 3GS 32GB on plan 75 [Ł73.40/month 3000 minutes, 500 texts] and plan 125 [Ł122.34/month Unlimited minutes, Unlimited texts]
To use the iPhone to get mobile broadband on a laptop it's Ł4.89/month for 500MB or Ł14.68 for 3GB
They're doing an unlimited text bundle for Ł7.34/month but I would have thght if you're an old customer you could moan and get this for free!
On pay as you go, th cheapest is Ł333 for an 8GB 3G when buying a Ł50 top-up to the most expensive being Ł539 for a 32GB 3GS when bought with a Ł10 top up.
You get 12 months free browsing with Pay as You go.
HTH and roll on Jan 10th when I'm ready for an upgrade!
