Carillo and Arrow....... I did spend some time looking into this a while back. Arrow in particular seem very good. But the aftermarket ones (Farndon, Carillo etc) are all very good. And as Puddy said, the exchange rate is very good. But.... it's f-cking killing me as I get paid in US Dollars......Arghhhhhh.

Good old P&O Shipping.

Carrillo don't list them as application for a YB.

I've emailed them to see if they can help.

See just how cheap they will be.

If you are going to spend the money on rods, do NOT get standard length ones .

Mike, in theory what you say is good advice, but for the vast majority of folk would be a bad idea.

The reason its a bad idea is because firstly folk will then have to start sourcing specially made pistons with a revised pin height or pin diameter, and then the issues of ring design and crown machining become an issue as its going to be a completely custom piston. In addition most folk won't know what length the rod is supposed to be anyway, so may in fact make things worse!! LOL

My advice is keep to std rod length and std rods, unless you want more than 600bhp/8000rpm.

As it happens, I sell the correct size rods and pistons as a kit...

These rods are the same ones as used in Per Eklund's Pike's Peak SAAB and are made from ENB 24 steel - rated to 900bhp. These particular rods are 8mm longer than standard and combined with the shorther compression height pistons (to suit a standard crank and block) will do the business. We also do a set for a stronger steel crank with a better big end bearing for high rpm (9500)....
