Air filter has just fallen off my fiesta and now it wont boost properly.

It boosts but feels like its overboosting

Its Running T3 and the air filter is at the side of a road somewhere :S

Is it normal thanks

erm normal for the air filter to fall off and be lost?

Filter wouldn't of taken a hose off the actuator would it?


Never heard of a filter falling off before...

well it has now so getting another tomorrow but the overboosting? judders on full boost.

well on t3 turbo wen put on a fiesta it has a pipe facing down off the turbo which has the air filter/cone filter attached on. If the jubilee clip wasnt tight enough the air filter could pop off and directly below it is the road so its gone.

But the car was fine, boosting and pulling amazing, put my foot down went into 3rd gear and boom felt like i hit a brick wall, wouldnt boost until i let my foot off the accelerator and not put my foot down as much. Is it just the air leak or overboost or what???

Someone said its overboosting so just turn it off and turn it back on?!?!?!?

But ive put her away now...

Going to put another cone filter ontomorrow... is it just an air leak or is it something else?

Hmmm, ill give it a go tomorrow and if still go overboost ill d/c the amal valve if no overboost ill get it into MSD asap.
