depends on the profile of the cam.

Well to be honest, i have a good tuning level,(chip, hybrid turbo exhaust filter, adjustable boost) have ordered a nice intercooler, just thought cams would be next?

in the past ive always found even race cams acceptable, u just have to adjust ur driving to suit. they run like sacks of s**t low down and go like s**t off a shovel high up.
just gotta get the right balance with the profile.
go for it theyr good.

Majority of off the shelf cams for rs turbo's won't make it run particularly lumpy or 'cammy'. Have had various ones in mine, ran the newman cam with solid lifters for a few years now and they're fine. Coupled with headwork they do make a big difference to how the car revs though, my old engine made power all the way to the 6.5k rev limit!

Had a serious newman cam in the 16i, anywhere below 3.5k it was lumpy as hell and an pig to drive, above that solky smooth and pulled like an absoulte train till past the redline. Depends what you are looking for, driving you are going to. Agree with above, always managable, just have to adjust your driving style to suit.

mate it depends how you drive your car,if its a daily friver your gonna want a cam that delivers power low down like the cvh34 or if its for track youl want a cvh35.or many people will say newman but it all depends on what you want out of your engine, and how you drive your car.

Well i drive the car hard pretty much all the time, (when its suitable) seems like theres so many to choose from
i would like to keep driveability, so the cams that were mentioned sound good, might even go the port polishing root

I had sprint cams in a RA28 CELICA(mach 1 mustang style) and that was awful, nothing below 5500, was shit but went well all way to 9700 redline.
Made it horrid to drive, seriously thirsty, 3-4mpg, and burnt clutches out as having to slip so much
