Does anyone actually know how many Rs2000 4x4's were made, Some say 500 shells and 350 were put on the road and 150 went to rallying but now only 50 odd are left WRONG!!!!!
In the last 5 months ive seen 54 for sale on either ebay, autotrader, piston heads, etc etc
Ive just bought another in auralis blue
Pleaseeeeeeee help if you knowwwwwwww

Lol They do handle well mate but like you say its the lack of power that lets em down and if you chip em etc the transfer box lasts about as long as a tank of fuel lol

Figures were accurate on 01-10-2004.
Total Sales Of Completed Cars 412
Sales In UK 360
Sales Outside UK 52
Rolling Chassis / Shells Sold 88
DVLA - Vehicles Currently Registered 127
DVLA - Vehicles Currently SORN 19
DVLA - Permanently Scrapped 214
DVLA + Ford UK Data - Permanently Exported 52

i had one, reg N617 PUS and it was a very good car handled ace but used to get beat by my mates saxo vts, was fukin good fun in the snow tho!!

The RS2000 4x4 was very much under developed by Ford as they totally lost interest in it themselves ![Sad](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)
It had a very much delayed launch, and almost did'nt make it into production due to slower then expected sales of the 2wd version, of which I think over 20,000 where eventually sold.
What the 4x4 needs is the 2.3 conversion, the extra torque totally transforms the car and makes it a much better performer all round.
And as mentioned, the transfer box is the weakest link
