the onion idea though is the winner me thinks, just cut and shut the body over the top and shrink it to fit and it'll be a winner
plus you'll be able to take it on holiday with the family, seeing as it'll have a boot and all

fella i knew did the very first fiesta mk3 cosworth back in 1991,he got a wrote off shell from m53 ford and all the bits either slightly damaged or cheap and did it.
i reckon a new shape fiesta shell that needs repairing could be somthing brand new done,imagine the latest shape coz feesta Beuf!!

I think the shell may have been converted by a lad in Devon. Did it have a zetec lump in it by any chance? Next time I'm down middlesbrough I'll pop in to Jacko's and take a look.
Personally, I would start afresh if the fabrication work isn't good. There are still quite a few clean Mk4 escorts and XR4x4s out there for not a lot of money.

yeah to even find a gud shell dave , id prob go modern ,
COS IM A FAT BASTARD !!!!!!!! id go focus or mk 4 ,
well been threw a few avenues to look into , i think whats stressed me is that id waited so long to get it in and get working on it , and well now its kaput
maybe its just a case of holing out for a solid shell and going from there ,
the best base equals the best finished result right ???

why destroy a mint shell by ripping the floor to pieces ? better off getting a tidy one and doing the repairs so they last longer !! if it's got knackered arch's that's just a good excuse to blow them out another 30mm for wider tyres

dont do a thing!
turn the shell back on its belly, bolt all your good cossie stuff to it, paint it out of a gun whatever colour you find in a paint tin in the garage and drive it harder than you ever would a mint car that you put loads of work into.
then by the time youve had all your fun and speed out of it, you will have found another car/shell to swap all your gear into properly

ok folks ,
the project is well and truly back on !!!
this morning i was about ready to give in and throw in the towel
but one of the blueoval lads anth decided he wasnt financially prepaerd to finish his mk3 project
so deal was struck and ive bought it ,
car is fucking minty mint!! 27 thouh from new , already had 90% of the minor repoars done to it , ( only the floor to sort but thats on its way out anyway )
so not beefys got a smile on his face and were building a a rwd mk 3 cossie again
ohh and to add to that , dojj his heading my way tonight with the donor sierra
come on !!!!!!!!!!!
