mainly talking about the engines we do, others do it different,

but when we do 600hp it will make 600 at 7500-8000 and rev to 8500 ish

so it this case solid lifters are needed, liners is because the standard bores arnt as strong as a liner, and for any engine really stronger is better.

10 studs so the head is pulled down perfectly even and tightly so in cases of high cylinder pressures the head isnt going to be going anywhere

possibly overkill, but theres no point in doing things by half, do it properly once and it will last, hopefully lol

the main reason why 205 blocks arnt used is because you cannot long stud them, im sure, (normal 205 blocks here not rs500)

but you guys are right in what you say the 500 blocks are pretty well the same as 200, you can longstud them and liner them like normal

He may well have done. This site is all about info i think so you cant dissmiss all 205 blocks with the 500 blocks also having 205 on them.

Just wanted to clarify if 500 blocks would still be good for the power thats all .

Mart.

I know of a FEW sweedish and norweigan engines with 700+ bhp WITHOUT liners, so cant se a problem there, solid lifters, yes but not needed, tubular, yes for better respons and crisp engine, but not needed, and std rods are just fine for 600 bhp.
Overkill is good, but also coasts a LOT of money.

Have just spoken to Joe and no that’s not the case; please people get your facts right before setting the hares running.

Remember the guy has to make a living like the rest of us and things like this can cause irreparable damage.
