Do you mean having a bike shape plate (square) on the front of your car?
Or one of those silly little regular shape ones?

Oh right lol

Yes they are all illegal. Must be standard size/shape etc with no logo on the side apart from GB logo, and no writing along the bottom. I've got a tiny front plate on the front of mine, its been there for about a year now, not been pulled once!

A small black border is legal though

If your Cossie is a Jap Import, yes, perfectly legal.

Same with if your Cos is a motorbike, then a bike size plate is fine.

So no in other words. Some people do it and get away with it. I ran with no front plate on my Evo for a couple months with no drama. Not worth the hassle though if you do get caught.

If its piss takingly small you will get pulled and fined non stop, you do up here anyway, but if its just a bit smaller and doesnt look too bad then they tend to overlook it.

*edit* unless you get a jobsworth

Here's mine, its about 4" shorter, but stays the overall same scale as a standard size plate, so not too offensive! Never had any bother with it in the year its been on.

If you just want a sublte change cut the standard size plate down. I leave 15mm around the lettering. Doesnt look too bad. Will probably look ok on L7 KOS plate.

I got mine from CFoster off here, he's a decent chap but be warned though, he is very forgetful and vey slow Plate wasn't the best too, had to finish off the edges and corners myself as it was all wonky.

I wanted another one off him too, got fed up with chasing him up so I went elsewhere!

Not any more, since the ANPR has been brought to the traffic cars you get a tug regardless now as they dont read small plates, ANPR gets you as your coming towards the police car as well as if youre being followed, so you got no chance!
