In my opinion yes, I hate watching DVD's now as they appear grainy!

Yep its definately worth buying the blu ray disks as the difference when running at 1080p is amazing.

One thing to bare in mind though is that it is pointless buying older films on Blu-Ray as they were not filmed using HD cameras. What you are actually buying is an upscaled DVD burnt to Blu ray. I can recommend the Dark Knight on Blu-Ray.

It's not as big a difference as it was from video to dvd, but you really can tell. I have a few. Last one I got was Dark Knight. Everythings so sharp. Even when you go right up to the screen it's not grainy like a dvd is

Aye it's good with the surround on! The bit I noticed how sharp it was, was when he was dropped off by the plane in China and you could see all the wee windows on the buildings in great detail

Blu ray's will be down in price by Christmas

My blu ray collection is going up about 2 films a week atm Just got Good Luck Chuck, Outlander, Hitman, Equilibrium, National Treasure 2, Angels and Demons/Da Vinci Code boxset, Monday's release is Fast and Furious 1 to 4 boxset. Ive got Star Trek 11, Terminator Salvation, G I Joe and X-Men Origins Wolverine on pre-order

Im buying films I don't already have on blu ray's and not bothering with DVD anymore. Im only replacing the best action/sci fi films from my DVD collection

No point getting anything non Sci-Fi or Action related on Blu-Ray IMO unless you like seeing how bad peoples make up or spots are
