Caged down in Somerset are very very good. All tubing laser cut I think, very neat and the ones on mine and Lees Westies are FIA/MSA approved too.

Website is http://www.therollcagepeople.com and DanT on here works there.

I know DanT from Caged quite well and if he does your cage your assured of a great job- he is one of the most picky people with fabrication i've ever met- exactly wot you want with something as important as a cage

I might give custom cages a ring then see what the damage will be. Its saying 1400 on there site but i'm guessing thats probably plus vat and then the extras that seem to find there way into the build lol

I can get cages done by my man but at the moment he's really busy with a couple of big companies, I'm sure he's doing stuff for Ascari at the mo.

I properly tested the cage in my old car

Yes, you have to add VAT onto the prices on their website.

"Popular" extras that you ask for are pretty reasonably priced.

My front cross, gussets and 3-point rear strut braced added about an extra Ł250 before VAT, so didn't think that was too bad really.

the cage for the evo cost 2500 fitted inc vat from custom cages ( with seat bars welded in ) expensive but worth it. as well as the obvious mounting points as shown on their website, the cage also has approx 20 additional stich welds to the chassis. ( a pillars, b pillars etc ) if you remember the big smash simon norris had last year, that car was a custom cages jobby and it seemed to hold up quite nicely
