Has anyone else had little cracks on the back case appear from, strangely, out of the blue??

I have today and i know for a fact it hasnt been knocked or banged.
Ive just phoned up O2 to ask if it can be repaired under warantee, but it looks like im 1 month out.

The guy , David, did say that he would be able to swing it for me to upgrade to the new iPhone 3gs even though i still have 5 month left on my original contract and will ring me back at 8.00pm with all the details.


So, has any one now got the 3gs and had the 3g iPhone,can you tell me any major differences??

Nowt to do with ya question Steve, but a lad at work dropped his iphone over the weekend and cracked the screen. It's even got a chunk of glass missing! It still works perfectly too!

hi ya matey, yeah mines absolutely fine with no probs except a little crack from the silver bezel to the ringer "off" switch.

Ive just had "david" call me back and said the upgrade will be £87 on a 24mth contract at £35 a month tariff or £184 on 18mth contract at £35 tariff

Not too chuffed with his "deal" there.


Anyone know what mine *might* fetch on fleabay with the little crack in the back case??

I have a 3G S and the bird has a 3G. Her phone is so slow compared to mine. A bog difference I noticed. And hers has a big split on the back too although she also takes care of it!

Im not sure what to do now go for the upgrade or not bother at all, afterall its only a very small crack and the phones pretty much mint.

Erm, upgrade, sell your old phone, it will easy fetch £100+, then you have the new much better 3gs for gratis.

Very common for the plastic backs to crack, no matter how well you take care of it. Just thin ass plastic that fatigues...

Which is why I still have my original one with the solid metal back - thats survived a couple of falls

Hi matey, yeah ive notice on a couple of forums search through google that they crack easily.

Dont know what to do still though, fleabays a bloody minefield now a days and ill probably end up being scammed, or tried to be no doubt
