depending on the state of the metering flap. Get someone to crank it, as u depress the flap, and it should piss out.

take the filter off, get someone to crank it, push the flap down about 5 mm an if theris fuel getting through the metering head the car shuld start.
will start with no filter.
i tested mine when putting my engine in and with fuel pressure i got fuel out the banjo bolts at the top where the injector lines bolt onto is it maybe the case that the metering head aint getting anything from the multi plug, not workin somehow, get it tested, dunno how someone will tell u lol

also check that the metering flap moves up and down as engine is cranking - if not, it has an air leak.

if there is fuel before the metering unit, but non coming out, the piston is probably gued up. Take the unit off which is held on by 3 torx, and use some wd40 to clean it so it moves under gravity.

fuel sounds fine then mate. You can help it start by pushing flap down a little when it's cranking.

You either have 1 and 2 mixed up OR 2, 3 and 4 mixed up.

If you look at the end of the dizzy (from the passenger side) then rotating anti-clockwise it should be 1 3 4 2....

Can't remember if No 1 is where you have it or if it should be where you have No 2....

Easy way to find out is set the crank and cam to TDC and pop the cap off. The one that the rotor arm is pointing to is No 1....

All that does is switch your coil on and off. It relies on sensory input to decide when to switch the coil..

You confuse me. To check the spark you have to have a plug in a lead and earth the threaded bit to the engine and then crank it over. It should spark regularly....

I meant you have to set the cam and crank to TDC to IDENTIFY which one of the connections on the dizzy cap is the one which you should connect the lead to for number one cylinder....
