why do they always come and ask for cigarettes

one came up to about 12 of us and asked for a cigarette, when one of my mates didn't even look at him he couldn't take it.... "oi cant you hear me... blah blah" my mate kicked off and went for him, he ran off but we moved off knowing they'd come back with hundreds of em and knives

 

Is so they can distract you and make up some weak excuse to fight you.

Its the same reason they also ask "whats the time" and punch you while you look at your watch

 

to be honest my answer to any stranger is "no".... got a cig? got the time? got a light? do you know the way to...? "NO"

i always say no without eye contact and carry on with the same pace, even when walking the dogs, Suppose its coz of where im from but my ex was alyways stunned and couldn't believe how someone could be so abbrupt or RUDE as she put it, but she was from a middleclass background so didn't really expect her to understand but she kind of did in the end, when at my house if we walk to the shops,walk the dog etc.

London dude, most of it is full of thugs/fake thugs/gangsters and all that.

dont get me wrong a few years ago we were the kids on the streets but we kept the fighting and bullshit between us.

 

im the same when i was younger or street rats as we were once called we never used to go round looking for fights or never up to any thing bad in that respect. this part of london is going down hill very quickley imo just like the rest of this shit countary!!
