yeah, with a diet mixer.
Goes without saying that beer/cider/wine are full of calories.
Clear spirits are meant to be better than dark, but Archers and Malibu are both really sweet so Im not so sure how good they are.
Vodka is definately the 'best' choice, but that is still about 70cals a shot. (same as an apple or 2pieces of Dairy Milk by comparison)

Takes from wiki Answers, so i'd take these answers with a pinch of salt.
I'll do Calories, Carbs, and ABV, then I'll add up beers alcohol (36oz * ABV)
3 Coors (4.9%) vs 3 Coors Light (4.15%)
--------------------------------------
Calr 447 vs 312
Carb 36.6 vs 15.9
ozA 1.77 vs 1.49
So for Coors, you're saving 135 calories and half the carbs. You'd have to drink half of a fourth Coors Light to get the extra alcohol. Since you can't drink half a can at a bar:
3 Coors (4.9%) vs 4 Coors Light (4.15%)
--------------------------------------
Calr 447 vs 416
Carb 36.6 vs 21.2
ozA 1.77 vs 1.99
So on to Miller MGD/HL vs Miller Lite
--------------------------------------
I don't have to calculate Miller. Miller lite has the same ABV as Miller (4.2%) and has fewer calories (143 vs 96) and carbs (13 vs 3).
3 Bud vs 3 Bud Light
-------------------------
Calr: 435 vs 330
Carb: 31.8 vs 19.8
ozA: 1.8 vs 1.52
Again, you'd need slightly more than 6oz of Bud Light to reach the same alcohol content. So.
3 Bud vs 4 Bud Light
-------------------------
Calr: 435 vs 440
Carb: 31.8 vs 26.4
ozA: 1.8 vs 2.03
========

Not if you're drinking Miller Light. Of course, Miller and ML have the same alcohol as Bud Light, so you'd have to drink more of that to get the same alcohol.
-otherwise-
You'll always save carbs with light beers, but in order to reach the same level of alcohol with some you'll need to drink more and the calories -can- catch up. Technically, for every 6 regular beers you'll need 7 light beers, but unless you're a drinker at that level, it's going to be one more beer than the normal stuff. You could always get your alcohol from something else: vodka is low in calories.

Hardly worth drinking beer. A McDonalds Cheeseburger is less calories than every one of them and 3 Coors is getting on for BigMac calories!!!
Diet coke only has 1cal anyway if you dont want neat vodka.

There's loads of calories in all alcoholic drinks, especially if you want it to have an affect. Its not just about the calories though, booze also makes you run to the kebab shop/fridge that day and maybe the next (if hungover) and it slows down your metabolism/liver etc. A triple attack.

When i go out drinking i eat less, i am allowed 2500 calories and i know around 4 pints of stella is around 800 calories leaving me 1700 calories in food which to be honest is very easy if you havent got a sweet tooth or a junk belly
To those who go on about clalories in alcohol, just look at your diet that cream cake is 400+ calories that big mac is getting on for a thousand calories

Bic Mac is just under 500 calories not 1000. According to this link its Burger Kings chicken burger which has the most with 659, I'm guessing that's the extra mayo and bigger bun you seem to get over McDonald's?
It's alright saying you eat less food so you can drink but most people won't be doing that will they and it's not really ideal is it. Again plenty in the UK will have 4 pints, two to three times a week out or at home easy so its not practical to be starving yourself a couple of times per week especially when alcohol encourages appetite/eating. Factor in those times when you've gone out and got leathered on the weekend having towards 10 pints or so and you're basically doubling or more your calories for that day.
Combined with the affect the poison has on your body working properly or breaking food down then surely drink is much worse than a few takeaways/munchies/treats are, overall and long term. An active person will absorb some food treats much easier than they will drinking regularly IMO. Moderation........(not UK drinking moderation, lol)

Hi mate i was talking about a big mac with cheese which is over 700 calories, my mistake, but how many dont do fries aswell? Add medium with it and you are looking nicely over 1000 calories.
A Big Mac contains 580 calories
A Big Mac with cheese contains 704 calories
A Big Mac (w/small fries) contains 790 calories
A Big Mac (w/medium fries) contains 1010 calories
A Big Mac (w/large fries) contains 1150 calories
A Big Mac (w/super size fries) contains 1230 calories
It wuld take 88minutes of walking at 4mph to burn off a big mac

i thought elvis was supposed to be fat
why ruin your career, and the counting calories is a little bit , the ex used to sit there and look at the label of everything and i used to just stick it in the basket
drink lots, dance loads, job jobbed, all the calories will either get pissed out before they matter or burn't off from dancing like a pilluk on speed , thats my experience anyway
hope my post was useful

Ok then....
If you go out and drink 10 pints of lager across 4 hours, just for arguments sake, do you absorb ALL of the calories, or will the amount of drink cause you to go to the loo so much you just pass a lot of it through?

I thought that southern comfort was very low in calories in comparison to other drinks. Could be wrong though so check it out, it's made from peaches so must be good for you
