Is it just me that doesn't like the Mk2 RS Focus?

Factory car, Hmm E92 M3 just. Nissan GT-R porsche turBo etc. Round a track all those and a Cayman S etc.
Mate i laugh at you saying its my dads car. I dont actually care what you think.
I paid for my car, Im the legal owner and registered keeper. What do i care if a 200sx owner from london thinks its mine or not?! ''who are you exactly''!?
All i said in here was i wouldnt have the focus, an ill-informed person assumed my car wasnt as quick as one. Which is incorrect.

i'd like to see a drag race between you and a compitant driver in the rs.
oh and lol about the 200sx owner from london comment, you sound like a child saying that, is london not the business capital of the country? cant see that as a bad thing.... and altho the 200 is now sold i promise in a drag race you would get smoked.

ive driven a 335D and it was pretty quick. but it wasnt a sports car, just a quick cruiser. it made almost no engine noise just made an irritating grumble when u reved it high, and the thing was very front heavy, i appriciate u like ur car but i wouldnt even consider it if i was out buying a quick car, also how much has it depriciated since uv owned it.

whats with you lot comparing old 80's/90's cars with a 2009 focus I really like it. Looks mean etc. And no i am not a boy racer i like my old mk3 hell i prefer most old cars above the newer ones. First i didnt like the mk1 focus. Looked to new etc but now i like it. Just give it some time.

im a ford man through and through, i thought the RS looked the nuts in all the mags especially in white but while at ford fair this year i got up close and now realise im not that keen on the new rs,
rear wing is shiny black affair and looks like a halfords jobbie,
bonnet vents look like stuck on crap,
fake vents in wings,
fake vents under the headlights,
fake vents in front bumper either side of the intake,
volvo xc90 brakes
fwd when easily could have used haldex 4wd like other fords and volvos'
only 300bhp which is what mildly tuned ST's produce,
alot of RS's don't make now where near the 300bhp figure on rolling roads,
up to Ł7000 grand more than standard ST in most dealers, some dealers Ł12000 more
a good friend of mine owns a 306BHP ST without atb diff and keeps up with the local RS owner and my friends focus doesn't owe him anywhere near Ł25000,
sorry for the rant but im a very disappointed ford fan, maybe i had too higher expectations but i just seem let down by ford cashing in on the RS brand. sorry if i upset anyone but these are just my feelings, they may make a good used buy but i guess prices will remain stupidly high for a few years

the focus is a nice car but as per usual falls short of what Ford could have made of it. Lets get one thing straight, all this BS about Ford building a 4WD version and it being slower than the FWD version is just laughable. Speak to Stuart Turner or Mike Morton about the hassle they had getting the Esc Cos

ST's with bolt on bits can make 300bhp, ford should have pushed the boat out abit more, plus Evo's have FQ series meaning 300bhp. 340bhp, 360, 380bhp, 400bhp and being 4wd can put the immense power down, Mitsubishi are not even in WRC, yet give the public a WRC inspired car, unlike ford which give you a 5 pot volvo lump, not exactly a rally pedigree engine, im just disappointed in the RS, RS once stood for Rallye Sport, but i guess not anymore,

loads of clueless people replying to this thread....the focus is good, but just like the recent "Car" feature stated,if only Ford went 4wd....like the impretza.....and please dont say that Ford ACTUALLY made a 4wd hybrid...that was made up for all the clueless types that would believe that Ford had your best intentions at heart..lol
Ford wouldn't do such a thing....the days of AVO,SVE etc are long gone by now...

Could forgive its looks if it was the car we were all waiting on, but that didnt happen.
I wont compare it to the Escos or 4x4 Saph but i should be able to, as the Focus should have been 4wd and Cosworth powered from the start. Ford know better tho..[cough] bullshit lol.
Cossies were easy to uprate without too much compromise, so i'd love a run in a 400bhp Focus RS. Guess it would be dreadful.
Probably a great car if untouched, but RS owner always want more. Doubt the Focus RS could handle much more thru the front wheels.
Fierce torque steer is fine in a 4 grand modded S2, but if i paid 25-28K for a Focus then chipped it and it handled like kak........wouldnt be happy.
EVO 8 ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you guys have got to stop laying into diesel.
The 335d goes around a track (apart from Nordeschliefe etc) quicker than the 335i (in a mag test? cant rememBer where though). In standard trims.
The 335i in 5th gear went quicker than the S5 around angelsey. So it aint not track slouch either.

Whats a 335i got to do with going against a Mk2 FRS?

If it is I havent seen it move for a while and recently saw the owner on his push bike?
Also IIRC his doesnt owe him any where near Ł25k... Nearly Ł50K I have heard with all the dotted line over the years
As there are only a few other MK2 FRS around the area he certainly hasnt tried to keep up with me... Unless you were refering to RS's in general?
