well that all depends on if it's been converted to run on unleaded? If not you'll have to get some additive as you can't get lrp anymore.

As above, you are a bit fucked for trying to find leaded petrol, additive is about your only option really if the head doesnt have hardened seats in it.

Leaded fuel won't hurt it if its been converted to unleaded.

But unleaded fuel will hurt it if it hasn't.

So i'd use leaded until you are sure!

Look at the head itself on the right hand side and see if it has an asterisk stamped into it (it's small so need to look carefully). If it has, then it's unleaded ready but if not then no. Given it's a 1983 it might be a bit early though....I work in Croxley on the business park and Whilee on here owns Croxley Meats

Leaded is better even for unleaded cars, providing they dont have a cat, which blatantly yours wont, so run it on leaded when you can

Hello, this is my first time in this site! as far as i know ford started puting unleaded/leaded engines from the beguining of the eighties, your engine should run ok on unleaded, if not sure then you can retard the ignition by 2 deegres and fit an extra washer on the sparkplugs! thats what they do on the southamerican countries without any problems! led subtitude is expensive and a pain to get the right amount when it comes to fill at the station!
