It's a heavy read, but this poor chap has had a total nightmare tuning/running his Skyline - spent tens of thousands on it

Would'nt worry too much TBH.........I think it is a classic example of taking a car to a "bad" or inexperianced tuner

Also did you read the reply from another tuner :

I have no sympathy for you whatsoever. If you'd have taken it to someone who knows how to build GTR engines I am sure you'd have been OK or limited your bad experience. Sorry to revell in your misfortune but everyone apart from you could have told you this story prior to a spanner being turned on day one, its not a Nemesis thing, its a Skyline engine thing. As for them not accepting the blame, damned right, this is a prime example of people spending lots of money on something they think should last forever due to the cost. You got a race engine, you raced it and it broke. Are they supposed to warranty it for life?

You came on here before, say im gonna do this to my block and that to my engine, its not been done like that before etc etc, well, what was the point, why try 'out of the ordinary' when tried and tested works quite adequately and then - you will later cry about it when it all falls to pieces!

Nemesis are certainly not business allies of us at all but from what you have posted I would agree with thier response. You have obviously along the way become too friendly with them and now think that they should be doing out of the ordinary things for you such as drop everything and rush to the port to collect your car as it was broken. You are a customer, you spent money with them for what you wanted and unless you sucked thier d1cks at weekends I dont see why they should jump however if this is the case I doubt you will be mentioning it on a forum

I saw the car and met the owner at a meet last year... sad story. Gutted for the guy. sounds like he tried to skimp at first though and it came back to bite him on the ass HUGE!

BUT hopefully it will illustrate to a few people on here that RB26 engines are just as unreliable as YB's when taken to high levels of tune by inexperienced people.

i do mine myself that way i know its not done properly but ive leartn from the experience and spent as little as possible

Porkie his car wasnt really in a high state of tune for GTRs , but such a shame he chose some robbing cowboys to do the work

Deano, thats right...............to think that he was only after 500 - 550 BHP and ended up paying over Ł30 k in engine rebuild costs etc, and it still was'nt a good engine after spending ALL that money

I cant honestly understand why some people put up with the service they receive. Ian at racetek scenario (glad ian got it sorted though)springs to mind and now this.

Surely common sense speaks out here (well based on what this fellow has typed) The company he used while they may have known what they where doing to a degree obviously where skimping on cost and quality of the rebuild suffered, ie used parts.

Tony, I think that as a customer he must have "thought" the his engine build(s) were in safe hands.........Only with hindsight can we see just how bad the situation was.........as you said, very similar to Ian at Racetek's situation.

Didnt comment 1st time as not been on here for about a week as too busy.

Didnt comment when i read it this morning as whats there to say?

Geezer went somewhere shit that dont know their arse from their elbow, got ripped off, blew up, went back, got ripped off again, blew up, and so on, and so on...

Skyline tuners in the UK are a ripoff and i have as little to do with them as humanly possible and if there was no choice but let them do the car, id not own one, and Nemisis isnt even a good place, theyve done owt but put fancy bodykits on cars and blow engines up.

I "did" post a vid of the aformentioned car doing 200mph on the A1M the other week, the car certainly isnt pussied around.

Still got totally ripped tho, i got no symathy, didnt HAVE to keep going back, nobody in the car tuning industry is honest enough that its safe to go into major decisions without the knowlege of how n why its being done.
