i believe that the mt75 from the dohc will directly fit to a cossie, althogh i've only heard this and not tried it.
how long it will last is another thing. they were also fitted to the v6 motor in serra's and grandads, so may be alright for std or stg 1 torque levels for a good while.
contact gearboxman on here for more definite answers.

he's on about the 4x4 MT75 box :P
im sure i told you this the other day lennie![Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
the boxes are 100% interchangeable, they'll bolt up no problem because of the same bolt pattern on the bellhousing. however they have slightly different ratios.
the chances of anyone who's not clued up on gearboxes actually ever noticing is very slight, and ive often seen people pass off twincam boxes as 4x4 saph ones and the buyers never knowing
powerwise theyll take the same power as the 4x4 cos, so 350 is the real upper limit

graceland, i beleive so as i know theyll bolt straight onto the engine...
one thing that has confused me tho is that i know they use a smaller clutch than the V6 / 4x4 cos, but i dont know much about these things and assume its becasue of the flywheel size and not the box itself![Confused](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif)
might be a difference where the prop goes tho, probably along the lines of the donut (how theyre different on saph and esccos for example) but presumably this just swaps over (IF its different that is)

i know this thread is older than time itself, but i got a similar question here.
i've been told the 2wd MT75 is a lot weaker then the 4x4 MT75, anyone chime in to confirm this? also, i was wondering if Pinto, DOHC and Cossie bellhousing was the same.
So assuming i was to run a lot of power on a DOHC i could just use a T5 behind it?
thanks in advance

there is no difference in the ratio's of the dohc 4wd box to the cossie 4wd box
same as there is no difference to the ratios of the 2wd dohc box either
they all fit you just need to use a differnt prop on the twd as it's a bolt on not slide in version
other than the cossie ones "may" have the clutch levers on the otpposite sides and the later cossie boxes have a longer output shaft to support the doughnut, there is no other differences
and beacuse you can use the dohc mt75 box on the cossie because it's got the same bellhouseing, you can also use the t5 onto the back of the dohc engine as the bellhousing is the same
