Default Marlow, Bucks - anyone from around that way?

I'm up there tomorrow (as in Tues) with my Evo, off to see Mark @ MADevelopments in the morning, and just wondered what if anything there is to do around there?

Or where to go nearby (by train or bus I guess) that's worth going to kill some time while my car is fettled... I guess I have a few hours at least, depending how quickly Dean works

Any suggestions welcomed, or do I just kip in the car while I wait

I'm originally from Marlow and I live 5 miles away from there now.

To be honest there isn't much to do in Marlow if you're a bloke but there is a trainline to Maidenhead that goes to Reading, Slough, Windsor, London etc. Buses get you to Wycombe but there isn't much going on here that's worth speaking of

I really can't think of anything in this area of interest to do apart from walking along the Thames.

Thanks Paulo

Just what I thought

Might try hopping on a train and going somewhere. Or looking like the snooze in the car option might be the way forward...

The train station is only half a mile from MAD. It's a shame I'm at Chessington tomorrow or I could have given you a lift somewhere.

I'll see how long I've got when I get up there - aiming to arrive for 7am when they open up.

Train station does look handy on the map... hmmm

Suppose I ought to get to bed and get 4 hours kip. Nice.

Thanks again matey

but he's spot on there, it's a retirement village, you can take a walk up the high street but, as a youngster, you'll have done it all in about 3 minutes

Damn right it's great!

Had a couple of mint cuppas, then a bacon and egg roll, and a cheese and bacon burger.

Was spot on and sesibly priced.

Deffo worth a visit if it's there sat. Literally right outside Mark's unit.

I spent the day chatting / bugging Dean and Mark while they worked on my car and a couple others (Charlie Luciano's tidy Saph for one)

Some nice cars in there

Top work by Mark and Dean, my car is back and better than ever, many thanks MAD

Took the Silver one to see Dr Mark and Dean the surgeon.

They did some major open heart surgery, followed by a blood transfusion.

Or more accurately, new valve stem seals and an oil and filter change, as the stuff in there was rather well cooked from the Ring and a couple of Combe track days

My fancy double valve springs had chewed up my stem seals, causing the smoke at idle my car had developed over the last few months.

No smoke now though
