Default Question regarding long studding and 3dr head....

I have a long studded block but with a 3dr head the nuts don't fit in the holes where the head bolts go (3dr heads have smaller holes than the later Saff heads and all 4wd heads)..... Now there must be someone who's had the same problem and can tell me what they did.

CheeRS for anyomes help

I have a long studded RS500 block (properly long studded all the way to base of block) but the nuts don't fit thru the head bolt holes in the head (as it's a 3dr head)..... my plan now is get a full ARP kit and use 4 of the studs on the outer 4 and use all 10 nuts from the kit....

na dont mate, when i bought my car in boxes the boy had had the block long studded for 6 (mountune) stud kit and 4 arps for other 4,i phoned around at least 3-4 tuners asking about this and they all advised no for the arps as they are supposidly too hard/strong or some shit and can crack block, then i seen in 1st hand on a friends

just give machine shop your 18mm socket tell them which 6 are required and get it done it aint dear, ive had it done twice now,the grinding down of a socket is ok for the later heads not an early 3-door one
