Default Fao ginge (B19bal)

Got a mtb question for you if dont mind answering it???

right ive got a spesh fsr with a hope disc on the front (dont know which model it is but heres a pic)

the problem ive got is the disc brake squeals like a motha when it gets wet and for about an hour after is there any way of stopping this???

upto now all ive done is taken the pads out and cleaned them and cleaned the disc with disc brake cleaner but its still the same

Any suggestions please fella

who fitted the brakes ????

squeeling is usually caused by the rear touching before the front which causes vibration

but on hopes it also happens if ya get brake fluid on the pads some how ( get a bit on the disk and the pads soaks it up )

what pads ya got as ive found the fiberax ones squeal like fook all the time anyway

ive got a set of hope pads at work if yua want after christmas ill post em out to ya and see if that helps

the screech is made louder by the spokes amplifiying the noise too

or buy a mini disc player , that solves it so ya cant hear the screatch anymore

are ya pads still centered btw as the minis are fooking crap for keep going off center

and hopes stupis fooking idea of spacers to center em too

sorry but i hate the fact that hope aint deisgned em proper when theres so many easy things they over looked

like the location fo the fooking brake nipple, look at the mono mins, there offset to one side so ya can spill fluid on the disc and pads , bout time they sorted that

now they just gotta solve the fact the lever blade always comes loose due to wear and lose the nice brake feel

tbh the deore ones or the julies are much better feel

and i sell hope disks alot as there the easiest to get and people request em

but the good thing about the hopes are the cable connections, not like the maguras and always need to get new olives

oh and have ya fooked the top cap tiny allen keys yet, thats another pet hate

, tiff thats what most squell is on bikes, unlike cars the bikes aint presion machinging and somtimes the fork mounting points aint true and need the face machinng to the correct level to make em touch flat

i know fook all about cars, bikes i seem to get by with, but then i did manage a shop 5 months after i left school

im ok with cars but with bikes i used others bikes for practise

cant do it with cars, too much money

It just so happens they are fibrax pads

are ya pads still centered btw as the minis are fooking crap for keep going off center

i fitted em as hes a nioce guy and wasnt his fault i work with monkeys

they didnt work right after bedding in , they squelled and was a nightmare

i ordered hopes in for him and there plush and sharp again
