Default Problem with ebay search/listing?

Ive posted an item up for auction.

But it doesnt come up in the searches and even if i search my username it says im not selling anything

Been on help page and it says it can take upto 24 hours before people can search for your item.

Ive never had this worry before? Surley all its doing is making me miss a day of potential sales?

Anyone had this happen, as im a bit pissed off. what the point of listing am item if no one can be exposed to it on the search

eBay becomes more sucky every day. The only good thing they did recently was reintroduce free listing (albeit 99p and under), great I thought, I sold 100 items a month for 3 months... then they withdrew the free listing AGAIN! Now I sell 1/3 the items, eBay lose out, I lose out - a LOSE:LOSE situation well done eGay!

but I cant see the technical reason?

It always used to be instant, you could go straight into search and your item would come up.

WHy the hell change it so the 1st 24hours of the auction no one even knows it exists, and basically is robbing me of a days exposure to bidders.

It says every time you edit the listing it also can take 24 hours to show up in search

Whats the f'ing point. I loose out they loose out as no one can see my add for 24 hours

Ive paid to advertise/run an auction for 7 days and am only getting 6

its so ebay can vet the advert before publishing it, i can understand the reasons but its unfair you loose a day because of it.

It is there
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RS1600i-Mk3-Es...d=p3286.c0.m14

I think there seems to be an awful lot of Mk3 escort bits for sale these days. I remember even as little back as about 2 years ago thered never be more than 2-3 pages max.

Now on the search theres 6-10 pages. I guess they have got to that age where the only ones left now are collecters cars/classics. So the supply and demand for parts is now greater?

Anyway still 3 bids at a massive £102 , why people out in silly bids like that Ill never know, they obviously dont have an intention of buying surley?

Given the write up ive done on parts and spec etc im not going to be accepting £200 am I
