Default Anyone Who's Good At Searching For Things/Knows About Commercial Vehicles

Quick request as I'm struggling to find what I'm looking for.

I'm after a Mercedes Sprinter type vehicle with a 6.5 metre flat bed, if such a thing exists.

Doesn't matter whether it's new, used or whatever price. Just want to see examples to see if such a thing exists for the time being.

Cheers!

Does it have to be Merc,

Also does it need to be Beavertail, Tilt, Hiab or just plain flat?

Plain flat is all I'm looking for. Doesn't have to be a Merc, just I had heard of a company apparently using a Sprinter which had a 6.5 metre bed after saying I didn't think I'd get such a vehicle with such a long back.

7.5 tonne wagons are out. I have a 7.5t curtain sider, but need a lighter vehicle that anyone can drive for emergency deliveries etc. I deal in aluminium sections which are 6450mm in length, and at the minute have to strap them to the roof rack on an Merc Vito/LDV Maxus and suffering a little overhang, which isn't really ideal!

Cheers chaps!

Well the scope is certainly there for a 6.5m flatbed given the chassis dimensions. Presumably what you have heard about has visited a coachworks afterwards for the flatbed.

Looks that way. At least the chassis dimensions available are longer than I thought, so it's something to look into.

i dont think you will find a 21 foot body on a 3.5t but if you're not carrying majorly heavy stuff then you could easily get a transit or something stretched by about 3-4 feet

Nothing too heavy. If I could carry upto a tonne that'd do more than nicely.

Trailer could be a possibility, but would rather have a proper vehicle for the job, less hassle.
