Default bigest dession ever made

hi guys just to ask if any body has been following that thread what marco polo put up
some weeks ago about his mate berty in hostipal .well guys i had to make a very big
decision last week.i made the decision to have my right leg amputated just below my knee cause things was getting a bit serious so i went in a week on thursday ,and i was home on
friday just gone .got a set of new wheels(a wheelchair) and some croutches i am slowly getting my head around this ,

wow mate.that is a life changin decision there.again can we ask why?accident etc?people still lead very good lifes even with disadvantages.

well basically i had an opp to clear a block arcthery inmy leg .did not work (21st fuking century as well) did not work /feet started to go black lack of blood ,the wound was not
healing up so decided to have it off thats it really and yes the pain,man the fuking pain

I was walking in to sainsburys a few weeks ago and this guy was walking towards me but something didnt seem/look right.. after a few seconds i realised this guy had 2 prosthetic legs wearing a pair of shorts with out a care in the world what anyone thought!

I hope things are just as good for you matey!

brave decision, Lees mum had half of her foot amputated and it was the best thing she did regarding infection control etc..

Im sure youll be right as rain in no time

Remember reading about this, really sorry to hear that other methods didn't help either (remember you were going to try some alternative therapies) at least you should be free from the pain eventually, I'm sure once used to the prosthetic it wont hold you back!

Seems like it was for the best.

A friend of mine has been in the same sort of position (foot run over by a lorry), he kept his foot but wished he had had it taken off, it has buggered his hips up etc and now needs a wheelchair.

will you have a choice in your new leg does it have to be one that looks like a leg or can you pick one of the metal rod type legs?

I went through a right leg below the knee amputation a year and 7 days ago. If you need to talk to someone send me a PM mate, it is definately NOT the end of the world any once you've healed and had the prosthetic made you'll be up and running before you know it. Will sort some pics out for you to have a look at ASAP, I was back at work (In the Army) in 4 months and still drive my 3 door Cossie WITHOUT modifications and have just started riding my Ducati. Keep your chin up and PM me if you need....always happy to help.
