Default Any Sky engineers about? My sky box is next to throw a wobbly!

Hi all

Got the mrs's car fixed, so the next problem is my sky box

Switched the power on on the wall this morning for the telly and modem etc so i could use the internet, and I looked at the sky box and all 4 lights were on on the front. I turned the telly on and it said updating system software etc etc, it may take up to 10 minutes.

Anyway, 2 hours on and its still like it

It says not to switch the power off or anything so I don't know what to do!

Any ideas?

Cheers
Rich

I'd unplug it, wait a minute, then plug it back in holding the back up button, to force a fresh update of software, once you get the update screen let go of the button and leave it to it.

That may fix it, on the other hand it might break it more. But thats what I'd do as mine's still under waranty.

Just noticed its just doing it again!!!

Found out why though, my mrs did a bit of dusting last night, and put the modem back down on top of the sky box, which was permanently pressing down the back up button

I saw it on the sky customer channel thing after i did a reset, said something like its important to use the new cards to get the best viewing experience........................... hopefully stops the random lock ups etc.

Didnt hear anything about new changes or additions though.
