Default Messenger - Appear Offline?

Are there any software add-ons for MSN Messenger that can tell you stuff like whether people are logged in as 'Appear Offline', but without filling your PC up with Spambots etc whilst downloading it?

I've looked at 'MessengerDiscovery' which looks OK, but don't really want to do it unless anyone has actually used it already.

Why do you want to know if they are appearing offline or not, i open my msn at 9 in the morning and appear offline while im working, it would piss me off if people found out i was appearing offline and kept talking to me!

In actual fact, my reason for wanting to know is genuine.

This type of software does exist and can tell who has blocked you etc, I just don't want to use a random dodgy package thats not been tried by someone I know!

Fella, it's no worse than your phone number being passed to marketing agencies without your permission. Things happen that suck, if you're trying to be stealth, then this is one of them.

There was something years ago (Haven't used MSN in 7 years) that you could see people who had blocked you and you could send them messages. Can't remember what it was called, but Im sure if must of been updated

my msn is on most of the day, it's on appear offline 90% of the time because i'm a bit of an anti-social twunt atm and only talk to people whenever i can be bothered. i still get messages that come through saying.. "you there mate?", most of them get ignored unless it's a rediculously good looking woman ( there's only 1 on my msn atm ) and even then, it's normally just someone asking me to go help them do something

appear offline is useful if you dont want to talk to everyone in the world and want to have a convo with one person as you can message them safe that others wont disturb you. "busy" doesnt really stop people talking to you.
