Default rs turbo amal valve?

hi does anyone kno haw to bypass the amal valve on a s2 rst? and is a bleed valve all i nees to control the boost (bar actuator)?

Yes if you want a bleed valve just plumb it in place of the amal valve, never have like them personally with amal valve ECU has control over boost opposed to bleed valve which it will be blind to. If you do fit one make sure you set it up correctly or you could be looking at a melted engine!

its already got a bleed valve on it but the amal valve is playin up an i kno my last rs had it bypassed, just wanna kno where the 3 pipes go to an i been told i should leave it plugged in as it will confuse the ecu, is this right?

Im not a keen lover of bleed valves.Im sure trhe amal valve has arrows on to tell where the pipes go to.

A = Atmosphere
C = Compressor housing
W = Waste gate (actuator)

R to atmoshere,

if you bypass the valve and fit a bleeder, make sure you block the meter head pipe,
and put the bleeder between the compressor and wastegate act.

shouldnt really be any need for a bleed valve though imo, if you are using the correct actuator and preload.

Speak to your tuner, as bleed valves are very much frowned upon, but used in the right circumstances, they are very good and can supply a lot of boost through the rev range.....................

its already got a bleed valve on there plus amal valve, was on there when i got it an i just put a collins actuator, should i get rid of the bleed valve an just use the actuator to control boost?
