Driving Day Experiences
Mother wants to get my bro a driving experience of some sort...
I've had a flick through a few sites and they all seem quite expensive for a short time actually in the car...
Any1 got any feedback on any they have been on?
I know my bro has a passion for M3's and Bemmers....
could any1 help us out
Thanks

Went to Knockhill to do the rally experience, wasn't too impressed with it at all, very little time in the car, and the track was crap, too much tar and too many tyres at the side of the road to keep u on it LOL I went to Fastrax in Dunfermline and they did a rally experience too it was much better, on gravel, wide open spaces and far more time in the car, both days came to £120 each.
Suppose not too much use to u though Smit as I'm sure page 19 on the 2004 AA roadmap is nowhere near Scotland LOL!
Cool present to get someone though!

Had a day here a few weeks ago...

Top day out on proper forest stages (not around a muddy field with cones in it!). You do 6 stages in the day, gradully building up to the last stage which is 10k long. Group N Subaru's with no kill switch/dual controls, they just let you go as fast as you and the instructor are happy with. Both instructors have been involved in rallying, Chris Moor former British Rally Champion. At the end of the day they take you round the 10k stage!

Guinless and myself went here for the day and we got loadsa car time.. must have been atleast an hour if not considerably more...
Mk2 's with welded rear diffs on gravel / mud... AND a go in a proper wrc like mota on the full circuit after a 'demo' lap, PLUS a ride round with a nutter in a 400+ bhp car...
If memory serve me correctly...

I was bought a 'Sensational Six' experience ticket for Silverstone.
Could pick one of 6 driving experiences to do. I chose to drive a Pug GTi6 round the track. On the same session as me were the Ferarris and Caterhams so I got to watch what each one was like.
Think the ticket cost my Nan about £150 and yes it was fun, but it wasn't really what I expected, they were more interested in trying to teach apexs and stuff on the track when all I really wanted to do was rag the nuts off it.
Lasted about 2 hours in total I guess, and think the instructor lost his voice from shouting at me so much

I done the Phil price one, cost me £250, in wales, have loads of driving time in the MK2 Escorts, excellent day, best location for the rally experience in uk, 400m high hills, like a proper rally track.
Get to drive a lap in a 350bhp escort cosworth, then phil takes you out in a Grp A escort cosworth for a flying lap at rally pace, scared the shit outta me!!, hanging off the end of hills at 100mph! on gravel.

Friend of mine did the jonathan palmer experience in bedford (I think), full day thing, full on action.
It was a corporate thing though so he went for free, but I believe it's quite expensive.
Edited to say it's the same think Porkie's on about
