We tried loads when we bought our first house, the comfiest by miles were in DFS. They aren't especially cheap but the 4 years 0% finance and pay nothing for a year do help!

HUGE mark up on sofa, my mate used to trade in them. When you see something you like, go in hard and haggle.

They have plenty of room for movement. Just make sure they know your have seen something else where and will walk if they dont deal

Just spotted the other thread.

Well done, Im sure you wont regret it, well maybe briefly if you have a couple of lean months, but not as much as you would have regretted not going for it anyway

colour and size? My dad's friend has a sofa (maybe 2) and a chair that he wants rid of, still good condition but he can't get them in his new place. He mentioned about needing double doors to fit them in.

Its all trendy here where Im working at the moment, wood floors and leather sofas and big plasma screens etc and a fussball table to top it off, kind of cool I guess, but not when it keeps waking me up, I think they have been watching friends too much

IMO the ONLY way to get a good sofa cheap is to wait until you know someone selling theirs.
