Indycar and F1 are such different cars there is virtually nill crossover between the two so all the driving skills have to be relearned/adjusted AND Mansell went back and forth between the two! so I dont see theres much difference apart from shuey hasnt 'raced' F1 cars for a year or two despite having driven them untill last year.

And 4 races is plenty to get back up to speed, you either have the commitment/confidence or you dont and F1 is 99.9% about commitment and confidence......it was a tongue in cheek comment but there is some truth behind it, Mansell was still capable of winning at 40 and Frank Williams wanted to give him a contract for the following year for the best car ( which surely would have seen him WDC ) but he was talked out of it by sponsors and other figures involved with Williams F1

Will Shuey be capable of winning inside 4 at 40? ( despite Mansell beig fat etc and carrying the legacy of a broken back and broken necks etc )
Fair point, although I would love to see Shumacher win Im not sure he will, that Ferrari needs a bit of work, but I would say he's the man for the job when it comes to development.

Regardless of Schumacher knowledge of development. His F1 cars were good because of Ross Brawn. This time it will be a lot different because they don't have Ross anymore so it'll be 100% input from Schumacher now. It will be interesting. I think he'll do well but would be surprised if he actually wins!

A few words to sum up.

Shumacher, Hamilton, Spa, Rain.

Hardeep, yes, a hardcore fan of ALL British drivers. I remember seeing Hamilton on Blue Peter YEARS ago, and have had an interest in him before he came into F1.

PMSL at all the fair weather band wagon jumpers that have suddenly appeared.

And as for those moaning about Lewis wanting to park it the other week, remind me again where Schumacher parked his car in Monaco a few years ago?

Its Pardeep by the way. And AGAIN i'm not gonna support someone because he's British. I don't support the driver as much as i support the Teams. I have been a Ferrari fan since i first started watching F1 when i was 5. If we are talking drivers then yes i am a Schumacher fan but not as big as i am of Ayrton Senna!

Will be awesome to see Schuey back

Don't forget they have those training machines they sit in now and its a simulator, you turn the wheel and all the weight is applied to the persons neck etc!

I'm quite sure that if Schuey had ANY doubt he would NOT be doing this. And I believe he is doing it for Massa, not for himself.

fuck off , lewis is more sena than schumi, best team best funding, great control from braun, more brown paper envlops than you would care to remember that was ferrari 5 years ago.

is schumi crap, no in fact he is not bad, great talent no better that lewis or vetal(spelling). alonso hmm what ever he says yes they were working for lewis that year, but 100% of the time alonso had the same car as lewis. its just lewis had the best race engeer and Alonso new it.

ur a legend in the mens room but stay there lol. Cos that pure shite ha ha. Sorry but it is.

In my opinion, this comment says it all

I am a schumacher fan and was gutted when he retired, the basic facts are he is now 3 years older, and hasnt turned a top class single seater in 3 years, yet still has the balls to get in and believe he can do a good job (He wouldnt do it otherwise)

However no matter what happens, all of the books about his career will have to be rewrote, it will no longer be 91 wins out of 249 tries, at least one of those figures will increase

so you are more of a team fan, than a driver fan? I'm the other way round, I support drivers over teams. Most teams have some sort of facility if not hq in the uk, so it seems kind of pointless.
