thats not the car princess diana drove,that was a b plate, the person selling this car has been very clever with the wording of his ad,i bet this car was white until the last few years,i have looked into this in the past and as far as i belive there was only 2 black series ones,this ad says 5 then 3,..... hmmm.bit strange...

Why? Nowhere does he say it's Diana's car. Anyone seriously interested in buying it will read the description in detail, and not skim over it like most of the posters in the thread

It's a genuine 'fleet street' black one, and there was definitely more than two.
No. The past is a little murky, and some people have 'altered' the history to suit their own ends, but there were several.
The story goes that some high flying Fleet Street journo insisted on black RSs, and so Ford obliged. I've never seen the actual name of the bloke involved, so I'm not 100% sold on that version of events, but it's clear that there was more that one S1 that left Ford in black. Whether they were painted onto the bare shell, or resprayed by Ford is another issue!
I 'think' that only the Di car has Schwartz Black on the colour code plate.

there was 2 sprayed in black. then 3 that where white got resprayed in black before 1st bought VIP request or somet.
wonder why hes selling it.
