Default One Day Car Insurance

I need to insure a car in my name for one day anyone know any where where i can do this? the car is already insured by the owner i just need to use the car and my insurance doesnt cover me

That's bollocks as if you put the details for that car in all it will tell you is that they don't cover cars that are insurance group 18 or higher...

Eligibility

Policyholder & additional drivers
  • You have a current full drivers licence (for a minimum of 1 year)
    (Australian or USA/Canadian licences are unacceptable)
  • You are aged 24 - 75 years
  • You have no more than 6 penalty points on your licence in the last 3 years
  • You have not been disqualified from driving in the last 5 years
  • You have not had more than one fault claim in the last 3 years
Vehicle Criteria
  • The vehicle to be covered
    • has not been modified
    • has no more than 8 seats in total
    • is registered in Great Britain, Northern Ireland or the Isle of Man
  • You don't plan to use the vehicle for carrying passengers or goods for hire or reward.
  • You require cover for a vehicle which you would be permitted to drive using a standard full UK licence.
  • The minimum market value of the vehicle to be insured is £1,500.
  • The maximum amount payable under this policy in respect of loss or damage to the vehicle is £40,000.


where does it say, no cars over group 18 ?????

get the owner to add you on their policy for the day, its sometimes free.

Cover is not available for vehicles in Insurance Group 18 or higher.
That's what it comes up as. But that was with me putting a reg in.

For some bizarre reason, it does come up with the stupid quote when you enter the details of the same car, but don't use the reg.

Every other car I've tried, regardless of IG, upto IG17 comes up as just under £21
