They have 32gb internal memory. No need for an SD card.

BTW I got my N97 this week too and have to agree it's an awesome phone.

Also I haven't found a program to run films, but I believe DIVX are creating one.

do you mean what size Gigabyte or do you mean like micro sd, that sort of thing. if you mean memory size I'm sure you can pretty much whack whatever size ya like in it. 8gb maybe, depends on how much stuff ya wanna put on it.. am i right in saying there 16 or 32gb internal memory anyway???

Forgot to mention, if you manage to fill the 32gb then you can buy a 16gb external micro SD for extra storage

Should be a piece of piss, just find out what file formats the N97 supports and covert accordingly...

N97 should play MPEG-4 files.

I've got the Nokia 5800xm, converted Snatch from .avi to mpeg-4 and that works, good quality as well

your mate means the internal phone memory that the phone uses to run! Not the storage memory. If you put a card in it, the phone will have 3 memory locations. 1, the card. 2, the phones mass memory. 3, the phone memory. The phone memory is the smallest as it's only there to run the phone and the odd application but by all means use the mass memory as much as you want.

I'm getting one of these this week on Skodaphone

MP3/WMA/WAV/eAAC+ music player
- WMV/RealVideo/MP4 video player

Does the Nokia Video Manager in Nokia PC suite do the job for this phone as it did for the N95 ?

Otherwise you'll have to find an avi - mp4 converter.

What colour phone have you lot gone for?

I chose black myself, looks a lot more sophisticated and less tacky.

Just noticed, that slide button on the bottom, looks a bit loose.

I've ordered a white one and bought a case off ebay for Ł1.99 and free postage.

My Nokia N97 didn't survive Ultimate Street Car 2007 and I'm not letting anything happen to this phone !

The nokia suite converts AVI to Mpeg 4. I've just done one now, but the picture quality isn't that great to be honest.

get a psp mp4 converter works great and really nice quality, i did Tron for a test and came out 1.2gig but is really hi quality

the program is called PSP VIDEO 9 and recently been updated.
www.pspvideo9.com
i spent months testing out other converters and found this one to give out the best quality, make sure you use mp4 AV (Advanced Video) as i worked on Tron for a guide as it had many lines to draw and the other encoders they still looked jaggy and dull, also managed to get it full screen on the psp, psp video 9 just had the best aspect ratio for this screen.. try it out and see how you get on

Yours seems a tad steep, but if your happy with it then cool

Mine was 45 p/m 1200 mins, unltd txts and internet, on an 18 month contract, but I also get a Ł5er back per month from phones 4 u. Did you put anything towards the phone? The phone was Ł100 but I paid Ł50 plus I traded an old 6230 in for an additional Ł50.

wull going off the Above that is a Corker
of a Deal mister . . . .
These long contractsare a right con, so you cant flog yer old un afta 12 and get a new un
So that way, more folk who want one will have to get a new deal, which is a long one and blah ad infinituum corporate pockets are fuller. .
But 18 months is bearable..
I have the N95 and have had forever(it feels!) only prob is the batt, well its not the batt, its the fone, just uses batt fast, anyways, sounds like yer all happy with this 'un
Congrats

i got mine direct from vodafone. 12 month comtract 1200mins unlimited texts & unlimited internet. Its nice to be back into a 12 month contract. Love the phone. I found when you add music if you dont click on mass memory or data transfer etc & just go into my computer then you dont need to refresh the music library

nokia have become masters at that, 32gb internal memory but dont use it as the phone software is shite and cant cope with it so you then have to get a 32gb MicroSD card if you actually want to store anything on there..

Nokia really have gone down hill latelywith their phones, ok they shove all these new features on there but the phone itself is useless because the software is toss!

the N97 will accept a 32GB mocro SD card btw

Im torn between one of these and a blackberry, really not sure what to go for now!
I like the idea of the Blackberry IM, but the n97 kinda trumps it on most of the other bits n pieces.
