i'm not saying that a wasted spark kit is a waste of money, i'm just saying its the tiny difference!

as for jtechsaffs coment i had launch control on my saph with a dizzy and it was perfect mate!! stu did say it may not work, but sometimes it will so i was lucky.

once i posted up, why my car took a extra crank to start, and everyone replyed it was my coil pack conversion thats why i wrote that.

As regards to the wasted spark, it is NOT there to sort any underlying problems, but it just removes so many weak points from the standard car!
2wd 4 pot callipers are the bollocks especially when they are brand new or reconditioned i bought a essi cos last month with stage 3 engine ect and the standard brakes were awfull they are a liabilty and look shit so i bought ap 6 pots for the front and ap 4 pots for the rear i havent tested them yet thoe as its havin a freshen up at the min but i carnt wait

i could run .75mm with the coil pack, imo you see little gain going any wider than that.

i was down to .55mm with a grp a coil at 37psi on the T4

the small plug gap had a big effect at idle, was quite lumpy

do you know what you idle afr is pete?

it seems most of the guys who have said it made a big difference are on closed loop, so it may have more of an effect on the weaker running cars at idle posibly

when you look at the std systems path, from coil, through ht lead, carbon brush, rotor arm, air gap, dizzy cap, plug lead, the power has lots of chance of loosing its power on route to the plug

on a coli pack, its literally out the coil pack , down one lead to the plug, the end resuly is a much much stronger spark at the plug,

and the spark is already stronger when it leaves the pack!

there cant really be any other outcome imo

mine was around 0.70% co at idle, so that may well be why it effected mine considerably at idle, aswell as when the cylinder pressures were high

your cr may also have an effect on full chat

my old saph was on closed loop and a dizzy no problems what so ever! and my escos is closed loop with wasted spark, and they both need the same plug gap to run right 0.65mm both had 0.9co and the coil pack car takes longer to start..

i thought the idea of the wasted spark was to simply screw in some 071's and off you go, but thats not the case out comes the fella gauges!!!

Any of the big power car owners ever bother indexing their plugs?
