Quelle surpise, jesus christ I hate Liverpool and starfish Gerrard but how can he be not guilty when the rest of his mates pleaded guilty and got done for it? Seems to me from the camera footage that his mate elbowed the DJ in the face etc then Gerrard has steamed in with 3 uppercuts which all meant to have come after the music disagreement.

How the hell does the judge and jury agree its self defence, what did he do blink at him or something just after he got elbowed? Basically the suit, money and city status he has has got him off and why the hell was it held in Liverpool court!

Knew he wouldn't go down but to get not guilty after that footage is crazy, if any of us did that to someone caught on camera it would be guilty. Your thoughts?

i don't think you could have got a more clear cut example of assult than pulling some bloke to you after he's been bashed it he face and giving him 3 uppercuts where every other person in the vicinity got done

Its not illegal to hit first in self defence, I know of a case where a 18 year old lad wasnt himself hit but did hit a bloke on the head wih half a brick, not guilty on the grounds of self deffence! These cases do happen but its just the ones with famous defendants or victims that make it into the media.

Bloke is a complete scruff and regardless who or what team he was guilty and yet again proves this country has its morale compass so fucked its not even funny.

All footballers/celebs or anything like that should be judged by the same rules as everyone else, but then again if the government are allowed to steal thousands of pounds of opur money and nothing is done what can we expect over a little fisty cuffs...

the government let themselves off with a warning about fiddling their expenses, so no criminal charges will be bought against anyone

yet if it were you or me, we'd be in a stripy top and pyjamays before you cuold say "fiddler"

i mean, how can you NOT be guilty of commiting fraud when you have claimed "expenses" for a property you don't live in, don't pay a mortgage on, is lying disused, but you can ask for Ł40k a year towards it's upkeep

strange that, when i had mine up they said self defence or not made no difference, the charge was assaulting someone by punching them to the ground and there was no question that i had done that regardless of the circumstances.
that reminds me...i need to pay another instalment of the compensation order
