Ive got em fitted and like em, do what you want not jump on the band wagon and copy what other people think. Its your car so style it like you want, dont follow what the majority say looks good ( which IS 100% GAY ) otherwise all rs turbos would look the same apart from the colour.
Sometimes certain mods are required more for the function of them rather than the looks.
Id rather have subtle things like bonnet raisers than shite body kits like the rattlesnake and illusion varietys that went around coz atleast it keeps the decent styling Ford designed than ruin it completely with something that just doesnt suit the shape of the mk3-4 escort.
Ok, ready now for the people that disagree.
Dave.

i've got some cos i didn't want a red rst bonnet on a blue car, and obviously they were cheaper than the paint
tbh, they didn't make much difference that i noticed although they're still on. i heatwrapped my exhaust to just past the gear linkage and that made a huge difference in comparison.

IMHO most people on here are followers of the "in" crowd so i doubt they have their own opinions anyway, or atleast are scared to view it, thats why a post like this is useless lol.
If its a serious matter ie something mechanical then i can see the point in asking due to there being a hell of alot of knowledgable people on here but styling should generally be done how you want it, not what the majority think. Take Dave (Twins) for example, i bet most of what hes done to his car he has done not really caring what people think as hes got a vision of what he likes and what he thinks will look good and again in my opinion hes done a great job.

I've got them on mine but don't particually like them. Just my idle screw on my thottle body is very close to the bonnet and theres already a very small dent in it so wanted to clear that. I have painted them matt black though so youcant see them.
ALthough I did about 40 miles in it last week from being off the road 12 months and had THREE!!!! people tell me my bonnet was open. Someone in traffic started waving furiously at me and shouting pointing at the front of the car. I thought the fucking thing was on fire and jumped out for him to tell me "your bonnets open mate" the lad in the petrol station said smugly "you might want to close your bonnet before pulling off" and my boss said has it had a front end shunt?
They will be coming off when I can re locate the FPR so I can spin the TB around.
