Default Log Book Questions

How long should it take for a log book to come through? I bought a car from a friend and they sent in off that week and its been well over a month now and still havent got the log book back in my name

You should have had it already. Has he had the acknowledgement letter to say he's no longer the owner?

It normally takes between 2 to 4 weeks for amended V5 to come back.

Your friend should have recieved notice of liability basically meaning he is no longer liable for the vehicle within 4 weeks.

If you haven't recieved either of these I'd ring the DVLA.
