Garmin Satnav Updates How ??????
I've got a Garmin Nuvi Satnav thats a year or so old and I've never updated it,mainly because i dont know how to LOL. I've just logged onto the Garmin site and tried to do it and they've tried to charge me £73.00 Does that sound right or am i doing something wrong. If thats what the updates cost its going in the bin

do you want to update the maps? if so that sounds about right.. maybe bit high... thought europe was around £60....
you can use their 'web upadater' software to update the firmware on your unit to remove any bugs and you might get a few tweeks.. kind of like when you get a windows auto update.... mainly affects reliability.....
what garmin unit is it? and if you click about on the unit it'll say the software version....

Thanks mate but to be honest I've had a few problems with this Satnav so I'm going to bite the bullet and buy a Tomtom.
