I have the slightly older model n95 8GB but i assume its a similar menu system.
From the main menu go to "tools" and you should see WLAN wizard, go onto that and it should automatically start searching for wifi signals, and then it will pick yours up, and then just make sure it always connects using this connection, then next time you go on the net you dont need to touch any of that, just go to a website and it will connect/load up the site automatically

Do you mean "No gateway reply"? i get that but not very often, normally i just exit out of it and make sure its fully closed (pressing and holding the main menu key to bring up a list of currently running apps) if not close it that way, and then second time it works fine. Sometimes it happens if my router is being gay aswell, obviously if the router has disconnected etc then your phone wont be able to find the wifi signal.
For little probs like this you can find the answers on google anyway.

P.s thats my other little tip about making sure all your apps are fully closed down after using them, as some things like music player for example, when your finished with it and exit, it doesnt actually close it down, it will stay running in the back ground, and if you have 2-3 things constantly running it will use the battery power more, so make sure you check there closed to save the battery as much as possible

It wont totally kill the battery if left, but it will help if you always make sure stuff is fully closed.
The only reason it does this is so that for example you can be listening to music and texting or sufing the net at the same time
