Default kit car using 2.0 pinto

i have just purchased a robin hood kit car which i part built, using a 2.0 pinto engine, i think he has also used some stuff from a 1.8 cvh, i am a bit confused with the distributor, there is a plug with three wires, black, purple and orange, in a box of bits there is a coil with an amplifier attached with about 6 wires. do i have to use the amplifier or is there an easy way to run power from the coil to dizzy
any help will be greatly appreciated
graham

You will have to use the amplifier, unless using a ecu that has it internally.
Another option is to use a older type dizzy but then points are not great!!
Do you need any bits for your robin hood, fuel tank exhaust etc ?

the dizzy needs some wires to make it work

cranking it with the plug connecting can fry the dizzy so make sure it works first

sounds like you've got the efi engine, the head inlet ports will be egg shaped rather than round and the flow is better

Brand new never fitted fuel tank, complete SS exhaust system, and SS manifold, though this was for a twinky, got them from my bro, who's on his 2nd robin hood and going electric motors, bloody expensive though!!

hi tabetha, i don't know if i need any parts at the moment thanks, not checked through everything yet, only thing that is confusing me is the radiator, it is quite wide unless it goes in sideways but then it would be either too low or too high????
if i need some bits or help i will give you a buzz, what kit car have you got?
