Default Halfords exhaust clamps??

Anyone know off hand if I'll be able to get a couple of 55-59mm (2 1/4 in) exhaust clamps from halfords?

Will be making a journey after dinner and hoping to swap the exhaust this afternoon,

Well I managed to get 2 clamps and 4 standard rubber hangers and a tube of Firegum for £10.26. Not bad really.

I needed a pair of flange bolts with the springs for the front pipe. They did'nt have any. I popped into National Tyres and they said they don't do them I asked if they came with the exhaust and they said no. Makes me wonder how they manage then.

I went into Kwik Fit on Low Fell and the bloke invited me into the workshop and said help yourself!! so I did and got various nuts, bolts, washers and springs and asked him how much and he said just take them, even better!!!

Just started buffing the exhaust up and it's looking mint. Not had time to put it on today so will crack on next week buffing the centre section up,

Just done the tailpipe section with wire brush and autosol. Needs a finer mop for the finish but its looking good already. It's up in my loft.

Piccies in about 10 mins.

odd

anyway you get the idea. I need a fine mop for the finish. Will crack on with the centre section during next week.

My std front pipe is mint and it will fit so I will use that for now.

Soaked it in WD40 and left it for a couple of hours and then attacked it with a wire cup brush. Then used Solvol Autosol and a wire brush and lots of kitchen roll.

I have a polishing mop here but it's got fittings for an angle grinder and the angle grinder is too fast for it.

I'll either get an adapter or a new finishing mop and I should, with a little effort get the mirror finish back.

Then I'll fit it.

Yes £51 Bargain bud thanks!!

(did you get your speedo sorted?)
