Default Frst weel bearings!!!

i have a frst an the bloody thing wont stop wreaking wheel bearings (from 50 to 1000 miles) i have just changed the compleat hub and bearing carrier both new bearings and there already making themselfs known!!!
are the genuine bearings any better then the local motor factors?

Had the same problem with my XR2i 16v..... only buying £200 quids worth of new hub and bearing from Ford did actually cure it.

Did you change the hubs with second hand ones? Is there any possibility that when the bearings are being put in they aren't 100% in right? I know that if you don't get them to sit right they will wear quickly.

mate our frst fucking eats the things too, but we replaced the hubs...blahblah fuck all changed.

Are you replacing the drive flange at the same time?

went to the scrappy and got the whole lot of a low mileage 1.1 pop Hopin the smal engine would have been kind to the drive terrain! ford quoted me around 250 quid for just the hubs ( the bit the wheel bolts to ) now i hinking the quality of the bearings must be shit?

i does have small ones on it so the rim clears the big breakes and i kno that does put extra strain on the wheel bearing but 50 miles!!?

oh but what about escos wheels on a fez seen them loas of times and surley must put as much if not more strain on them?
